The Speech Pathologist is a novice to an advanced beginner, particularly in a hospital setting. They perform assessments and interventions with routine patients, supporting team tasks, problem-solving, and intervention skills.
Upon successful completion of their CFY year, the Speech Pathologist may orient other professionals and provide student experiences with approval.
Licensure and Certification Requirements:- License (or eligible) from Virginia as a Speech and Language Pathologist
- CCC in SLP from ASHA or Clinical Fellowship Year candidate
- Current Virginia license as SLP
- CCC in SLP or completion of CFY with CCC
- CPR certification
