CT Tech - Radiology – UHC Staffing CT Tech - Radiology

Location: Richmond, VA

Start Date: 01-22-2026

End Date: 04-23-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating schedule including weekdays and weekends — primary shift 9:00 AM - 9:30 PM; weekend coverage includes 12-hour weekend shifts and weekend on-call coverage (24-hour weekend call).

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality CT imaging for a wide range of studies (ABD/PEL, heads, spines, brains, chest, CTA and biopsies) to support accurate diagnoses
  • Operate and optimize GE and Philips CT scanners, ensuring safe and efficient imaging workflows
  • Manage image capture and retrieval using GE Centricity PACS and Meditech EMR systems
  • Prioritize patient safety and comfort — screen for contraindications, administer contrast per protocol, and monitor patients during procedures
  • Collaborate with radiologists, technologists and nursing staff to deliver seamless care in a high-volume environment (80–100 scans/day)
  • Maintain equipment cleanliness, perform basic QC checks and escalate technical issues promptly
  • Document procedures, maintain accurate patient records, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
  • Adapt quickly in a fast-paced unit, multitask effectively and contribute to a positive team culture
Qualifications
  • Current CT registry (ARRT-CT) required
  • Active VA state license (MUST HAVE) — candidates without a Virginia license will not be considered
  • Minimum 2 years of CT experience (current hands-on experience preferred)
  • Experience with GE and/or Philips CT scanners strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with Meditech and GE Centricity PACS is a plus
  • Strong communication skills, teamwork mindset and ability to handle a high-volume workload
  • Willingness to work rotating schedules, including weekends and on-call shifts
Knowledge & Skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of CT imaging procedures: ABD/PEL, heads, spines, brains, chest, CTA and biopsies
  • Skilled operation of GE and Philips CT scanner platforms
  • Proficient with Meditech EMR and GE Centricity PACS workflows
  • Solid patient positioning, contrast administration and radiation safety practices
  • Ability to manage high throughput while maintaining image quality and patient care
  • Strong troubleshooting, prioritization and multitasking abilities
