X-Ray Technologist (Radiologic Technologist)
Job SummaryThe X-ray Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging examinations using X‑ray equipment, ensuring high‑quality images, and maintaining patient safety and comfort.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and position patients for X‑ray procedures, ensuring safety and comfort.
- Operate and maintain X‑ray equipment, following safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure.
- Capture high‑quality diagnostic images for physician review and diagnosis.
- Verify patient identity and review medical history prior to procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records, imaging logs, and documentation.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Perform routine quality control checks on equipment.
- Comply with all federal, state, and facility‑specific guidelines and safety procedures.
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification preferred or required (depending on state).
- CPR certification.
- Strong communication skills and patient care abilities.
- Proficiency in using medical imaging software and technology.
