The Department of Pharmacotherapy & Outcomes Science (DPOS) invites applications for two full-time, 12-month faculty positions in Social and Administrative Pharmacy: one tenure-eligible position at the rank of Assistant Professor and one tenure-eligible position at the rank of Associate Professor. These tenure-eligible faculty positions in Social and Administrative Pharmacy will support the professional Pharm.

D. and graduate programs at the School of Pharmacy. These positions will also make a substantial contribution to the research mission of the School of Pharmacy.

the Department of Pharmacotherapy & Outcomes Science

The Department of Pharmacotherapy & Outcomes Science is one of three academic departments within the SOP and is a nationally recognized leader in pharmacy practice and education, personalized medicine, and health economics and outcomes research
. Our faculty integrates expertise in pharmacotherapy, pharmacogenomics, digital health, social and administrative pharmacy, and pharmacoeconomics to advance medication optimization and population health. Faculty lead and collaborate through the Center for Pharmacy Practice Innovation (CPPI) to advance pharmacist-delivered care models and health policy initiatives, the Congressional Healthcare Policy Fellow Program to prepare pharmacists for public service, the Community-Based Pharmacy Residency Program to foster practice transformation across community settings, and the Geriatric Pharmacotherapy Program to enhance the delivery of healthcare to older adults.

Position Responsibilities
  • Research: The faculty member will have an approximately 75% research effort and be expected to substantially contribute to the research mission of the School of Pharmacy by securing extramural funding, publishing peer-reviewed manuscripts, and conducting collaborative research.
  • Teaching: The faculty member will have approximately a 15% teaching effort and be expected to contribute to professional (Pharm.

    D.) and graduate programs.
  • Service: The faculty member will have approximately a 10% service effort and be expected to serve on departmental, School, and/or University Committees, as necessary, as well as in a professional capacity in their respective field.
