Speech Language Pathologist PRN

The Speech Language Pathologist conducts clinical speech language pathology services including comprehensive patient assessment and intervention relating to various diagnoses for ages 12+. The therapist will accurately assess and treat language, speech, voice, cognition, and swallowing impairments resulting from various diagnoses. Instructs therapy support staff, students, other team members, and patient and/or caregivers.

Qualifications And Skills
  • Previous clinical experience with planning and executing evaluation/treatment of neurogenic, motor speech, linguistic/cognitive communication disorders and swallowing disorders required.
  • Previous experience performing swallow studies including Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) and/or Fiber‑optic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallow (FEES) preferred.
  • Previous experience with trach management as related to swallowing and communication disorders preferred.
Education/Certifications
  • Master’s Degree from an ASHA-accredited program in Speech and Language Pathology required.
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) - SLP required.
  • Current license by the Commonwealth of Virginia as a SLP required.
  • Healthcare professionals CPR certification required.
