Department Summary: The Department of Cellular, Molecular and Genetic Medicine is dedicated to unraveling the fundamental biology that supports health and drives disease. Duties & Responsibilities:
A postdoctoral fellow position is immediately available in the laboratory of Dr. Xiang-Yang Wang in the Department of Cellular, Molecular, and Genetic Medicine, Virginia Commonwealth University, School of Medicine. The focus of this position will be to study the role of innate pattern recognition receptors and stress proteins/response in inflammation, cancer immunity and immunotherapy.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
Highly-motivated candidates with a Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D in immunology, molecular and cellular biology, or a closely related field are appropriate to apply. Applicants should possess strong laboratory, analytical, interpersonal, and independent working skills.
Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect, professionalism and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from all backgrounds and experience, or a commitment to do so as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at VCU.
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with previous experience with mouse modeling/handling and flow cytometry are highly desirable.
Salary Range: $62,232-$66,000
