About The Role
The Regional Patient Access Manager (RPAM) supports patient access for Company products by partnering with HCPs, specialty/closed-door/LTC pharmacies, and HUB partners; and by maintaining the integrity of the regional pharmacy distribution network via vetting.
Your Contributions (include, But Are Not Limited To)- Provide field access support and education to HCPs to maximize access and accelerate time to treatment.
- Resolve coverage issues for on-label prescriptions already in process; support access services, processes, and forms.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on regional/national payer coverage policies and processes.
- Train and educate HCPs on payer-specific coverage/documentation, appeals, and patient financial assistance (copay/patient assistance) programs.
- Enable electronic Patient Access submissions (e.g., Cover My Meds ); explain criteria, prior auth, LMN, appeals, step edits, and formulary exception requests; conduct case resolution.
- Communicate and coordinate compliantly with field sales, HCPs, network pharmacies, and HUB employees; identify payer issues to National Account Directors.
- Monitor and improve specialty distribution efficiency using end-user feedback; conduct patient access workshops and support new hire training.
- Vet pharmacies in assigned geography to uphold network integrity; other duties as assigned.
- BS/BA + 6+ years pharma/biotech commercial experience (2+ years specialty pharmacy/market access) OR Master’s/MBA preferred + 4+ years OR PharmD/PhD + 2+ years.
- Strong knowledge of specialty pharmacies, managed care, PBMs, government payers, prescription adjudication, prior auth, and payer coverage criteria.
- Strong patient support program knowledge; excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Ability to travel overnight up to 60%; geographically dispersed across the US.
- Base salary: $151,000–$206,000; annual bonus target 30% of base; equity long-term incentive eligibility; retirement plan match; paid vacation/holiday/personal days; caregiver/parental and medical leave; health benefits (medical, pharmacy drug, dental, vision).
