Night Shift 12 hours/day 3 days/week

Respiratory Therapy Staff: 25

Patient Workload: Approximately 20–25 treatments per round on a typical floor assignment

Day Shift

3–4 RRTs

Oxygen therapy equipment

BiPAP / CPAP

Mechanical ventilators

Blood gas machines

Must-Have Experience

Previous ICU experience

Strong respiratory assessment and critical-care skills

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment

BiPAP / CPAP management

Ventilator management

Respiratory assessment and treatment

Oxygen therapy

The ideal candidate:

Enjoys a fast-paced environment

Is adaptable and able to prioritize multiple respiratory-care needs

Has strong critical-thinking and clinical skills

Works well as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team

• Current RRT credential
• Current BLS
• Current ACLS
• NRP
• NBRC
• PALS

Navy Blue scrubs

Follow facility hygiene and professional dress requirements

Call preferred: One 24-hour call shift approximately every 5–6 weeks

• Arterial Blood Gas (ABG) collection/analysis

• Respiratory assessment and treatment

• Oxygen therapy
