9 am - 5 pm, 1-2 days Monday
- Friday, and rotating weekends
Must be available 8-24 hours per week Weekend availability and rotating holidays required
Responsibilities- Preparation of daily human milk and formula infant feeds according to written formulations or recipes
- Document, label and store prepared feedings for infants according to policies and procedures
- Deliver prepared feeds to NICU refrigerators daily
- Maintain records of infant feeding orders, preparation and inventory using electronic medical record and milk tracking systems
- Operates all equipment needed to prepare feeds for infants in a safe, sanitary manner
- Assist and train other technicians as needed to help department operate efficiently
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Diet technician or associate nutrition degree preferred
- 1-2 years experience as a diet technician or related field in medical setting
- Basic math skills required, including ability to pass a competency test post-training related to job function
- Good personal hygiene, neat grooming and dress code compliance (scrubs, hats, masks provided by hospital)
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Prolonged standing and walking throughout the day, frequent stooping, bending and lifting up to 40 pounds
- Must be able to operate equipment necessary to perform essential functions
- Must be able to pass background check and drug test
