Lead Housekeeper
SUMMARY:
The Housekeeping Lead is responsible for planning, organizing, and developing of the overall operation of the housekeeping department in coordination with the Maintenance Director with federal, state, and local standards and guidelines along with assuring the highest degree of quality residents care is maintained at all times. Responsible for scheduling and training with the coordination of the Maintenance Director.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:Knowledge, Skill, Ability
- Previous experience managing a team of housekeeping employees through motivation, coaching and development.
- The ability to anticipate customer needs, change goals and direction quickly and multitask
- Working knowledge of rooms management systems.
- Advanced knowledge of housekeeping process and procedures.
- Ability to maintain a budget.
- Proven excellence in customer service.
- Capable of using independent judgmental/solid decision-making skills ability.
- Proven comfort and experience to interact effectively with all levels of management, guests, associates, and clientele, both inside and outside of the organization.
The responsibilities include but are not limited to federal, state and the following:
- Manage the daily activities of the housekeeping department to include appropriate cleaning of all offices, common areas, seating areas, restrooms, laundry rooms.
- Planning, organizing and directing team members to ensure the highest degree of resident satisfaction.
- Daily supervision of the housekeeping staff in coordination with the Maintenance Director
- Purchase, re-order and maintain housekeeping supplies and inventory in coordination with the Maintenance Director.
- Schedule and train all new housekeeping staff members.
- Maintain the housekeeping budget in coordination with the Maintenance Director
- Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and conduct.
- Obtains list of rooms to be cleaned immediately and list of prospective move-ins or discharges to prepare work assignments.
- Investigates complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment and work in coordination with the Maintenance Director.
- Attend staff meetings to discuss company policies and residents’ complaints when invited.
- Performs cleaning duties as assigned
