Parham Health & Rehabilitation Center is hiring a Human Resources Director to support day-to-day people operations at a healthcare facility in Richmond, VA (onsite). In this role, you will help keep the center properly staffed by overseeing recruitment, onboarding, payroll coordination, HR support, and staffing and scheduling processes.
The position is focused on practical HR execution across the employee lifecycle, from hiring and orientation through payroll and ongoing staff coverage needs. You will also serve as an accessible HR resource for benefits, policies, and procedures, while maintaining strong cross-department collaboration.
Key responsibilities- Spearhead recruitment efforts to identify, hire, and support candidates for each role.
- Manage employee onboarding and new hire orientation, ensuring employment records are maintained in compliance and employees are set up for success.
- Oversee the bi-weekly payroll process and confirm timecards submitted are complete and accurate.
- Support staff as an employee resource for HR-related questions, including benefits, policies, and procedures.
- Prepare and update schedules and daily staffing plans to help ensure adequate staffing ratios.
- Keep the electronic scheduling system up to date so staffing schedules are accurately reflected.
- Coordinate employee time-off requests to ensure appropriate coverage for nursing units.
- Develop and maintain positive working rapport with other departments across the healthcare center.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Experience in Human Resources or a related field.
- Understanding of labor laws and best practices.
- Ability to effectively coordinate people and resources.
- Proficiency with computer programs, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Salary: USD 58,240 - 72,800 per year (commensurate with experience).
