Data Engineer – Alteryx

Overview

We are seeking experienced Data Engineers with strong Alteryx expertise to support enterprise-scale data analytics and engineering initiatives in a financial services environment. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of overall experience and strong hands-on skills building data pipelines, automating analytics workflows, and delivering high-quality datasets to support reporting, analytics, and business decision-making. This role requires close collaboration with data analysts, business stakeholders, and cloud engineering teams to design and implement scalable, reliable data solutions.

Work Mode: Onsite

• Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines using Alteryx for data preparation, transformation, and automation
• Build reusable workflows to ingest, cleanse, enrich, and validate data from multiple sources
• Write and optimize SQL queries to support data extraction and transformation
• Integrate Alteryx workflows with enterprise databases and cloud platforms
• Partner with analytics and business teams to translate requirements into scalable data engineering solutions
• Perform data quality checks, reconciliation, and validation to ensure accuracy and consistency
• Support deployment and scheduling of Alteryx workflows for production use
• Document data pipelines, workflows, and technical processes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver data products on time

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
• 8+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering roles
• Strong hands-on experience with Alteryx Designer / Server
• Solid experience with SQL and relational databases
• Experience building automated ETL / ELT pipelines
• Understanding of data modeling concepts and performance optimization
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with technical and business teams
• Willingness to work onsite in Richmond, McLean, or Dallas

• Experience in banking or financial services environments
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
• Familiarity with data warehousing platforms (e.g., Redshift, Snowflake, or similar)
• Experience supporting dashboards and BI tools (Tableau or similar)
• Prior experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
