You Are:The Specialty Quality Engineer (QE) is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of enterprise software applications through comprehensive testing and automation strategies.
The opportunity:- Testing & Validation
- Perform functional, regression, system, and integration testing for enterprise applications.
- Design and execute ETL and data validation testing to ensure accuracy and consistency of data transformations.
- Validate data across multiple database platforms such as Netezza, Teradata, DB2, and IMS DB.
- Ensure end to end quality across UI, API, and backend layers.
- Automation Engineering
- Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Playwright for UI and integration testing.
- Implement automated test suites for regression and continuous testing pipelines.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate automation into CI/CD workflows.
- System & Requirement Analysis
- Analyze business and system requirements to define test strategy, test scenarios, and coverage models.
- Identify gaps, risks, and edge cases early in the lifecycle.
- Work closely with developers, architects, and business analysts to triage defects and drive resolution.
- Tools & Environment
- Utilize enterprise tools such as IBM Info Sphere Data Stage, Informatica, DVO, and Changeman for testing and deployments.
- Execute test scripts and automation in UNIX/Linux environments.
- Perform database and data validation using SQL and tools such as TOAD.
- Scripting & Development Support
- Write and execute scripts for automation and validation using .NET, Shell scripting, and SQL.
- Support test automation and validation activities using programming languages such as C, C++, Java, and PL/SQL where required.
- Reporting & Documentation
- Create and maintain detailed test cases, test results, and defect reports.
- Track quality metrics and provide clear, actionable status reports to stakeholders.
- Ensure test evidence and documentation meet audit and compliance standards.

What you need:- Experience:
6-10 Years - Quality Engineering & Automation
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, test lifecycle, and best practices.
- Hands on experience with test automation, preferably using Playwright.
- Experience testing .NET based applications.
- Data & ETL Testing
- Proven experience in ETL testing using tools such as Informatica and IBM Data Stage.
- Strong SQL skills for backend and data validation.
- Experience working with large scale data platforms (Netezza, Teradata, DB2, IMS DB).
- Systems & Platforms
- Hands on experience with UNIX/Linux environments and scripting.
- Familiarity with tools such as TOAD, Changeman, and DVO.
- Programming & Scripting
- Working knowledge of .NET and scripting/programming languages such as C, C++, Java, PL/SQL, and Shell.
Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.
