Systems Administrator, IT Project Manager
CTG is seeking to fill an End-User Computing (EUC) Manager position for our client.
Location: Richmond, VA - Hybrid – 3 days onsite.
Duration: Ongoing Contract
- Lead strategy, administration, and optimization of Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environments.
- Oversee enterprise VDI platforms and published application delivery systems.
- Manage performance tuning, capacity planning, and high-availability design for virtual desktop infrastructure.
- Ensure secure remote access aligned with enterprise cybersecurity standards and Zero Trust principles.
- Oversee Microsoft SCCM / Endpoint Configuration Manager for software deployment, patch management, imaging, and endpoint compliance.
- Manage desktop operating system lifecycle, application packaging, and standard image baselines.
- Administer and optimize Microsoft 365 services including SharePoint Online, Teams, and collaboration platforms.
- Develop and enforce governance strategy for enterprise licensing including Microsoft 365 (E3/E5), Citrix, and VDI licensing models.
- Oversee enterprise video teleconferencing platforms including Teams, Zoom, and conference room technologies.
- Lead and mentor EUC engineers and support staff; provide technical guidance and performance oversight.
- Develop and execute the EUC roadmap aligned with organizational technology strategy.
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, budgeting, cost optimization, and licensing compliance.
- Establish KPIs, service metrics, and operational performance standards.
- Partner with cybersecurity teams to ensure endpoint and virtual desktop environments meet compliance and audit requirements.
- Strong expertise in Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops administration and optimization.
- Advanced knowledge of SCCM / Endpoint Configuration Manager for enterprise endpoint management.
- Experience supporting VDI platforms such as Citrix, VMware Horizon, or Azure Virtual Desktop.
- Hands‑on administration of Microsoft 365 services including SharePoint Online and Teams.
- Strong understanding of endpoint security, identity management, and access controls.
- Experience with licensing governance and vendor negotiations.
- Ability to design scalable, secure, and high‑performing digital workplace environments.
- Strong leadership, strategic planning, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of IT service management practices and operational excellence frameworks.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure or end‑user computing roles.
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
- Experience managing enterprise VDI and endpoint environments in mid‑to‑large organizations.
- Experience overseeing licensing compliance and vendor relationships preferred.
- ITIL certification or equivalent service management experience preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field required OR equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
