ITSM Configuration Management II (Service Now)
A mission-driven organization is seeking an ITSM Configuration Management professional to support and enhance IT Service Management processes within a Service Now environment. This role is focused on configuration management governance, process improvement, and maintaining a reliable system of record for IT services and relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Own and manage ITIL Configuration Management processes, including CMS, CMDB, and CSDM
- Govern and maintain Service Now CMDB to ensure data accuracy and integrity
- Analyze, design, and improve ITSM processes and workflows
- Support build, testing, training, and documentation of ITSM standards and procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance service lifecycle processes
- Develop and track metrics, quality standards, and performance improvements
- Lead or support ITSM-related projects and strategic initiatives
- Ensure CMDB serves as a reliable source of truth for IT services and relationships
- Support decision-making through accurate configuration data and reporting
Qualifications:
- Strong experience with Service Now, specifically CMDB, CMS, and CSDM
- Solid understanding of ITIL framework and ITSM processes
- Experience in configuration management governance and process improvement
- Background in ITSM process analysis, design, and implementation
- Experience with documentation, metrics, and quality assurance practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration abilities
- This is not a developer role; configuration-focused experience required
