The Department of Elections is seeking a Business Analyst. This is a hybrid work arrangement which will require 2-3 days on site. The candidate will evaluate user requests for new or modified products, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs, formulate systems to parallel overall business strategies, and be proficient in agile practices and story writing.

Required skills and experience – Minimum of 5+ years of work experience in the following areas:

• 5+ years of proven working experience as a business systems analyst for medium to large projects.
• Able to communicate and collaborate with agile delivery teams and other technical staff, business partners and vendors.
• Able to lead requirements‑gathering sessions, including workshops, interviews, and document analysis, to capture detailed business needs.
• Able to accurately translate system and business requirements into epics, features and user stories with clearly defined acceptance criteria.
• Able to write UAT test scripts and proficient in UAT testing.
• Able to identify and document project risks and actions to mitigate risks.
• Able to track requirements throughout the SDLC lifecycle.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 Suite, VISIO, Draw.io, ADO, JIRA, Confluence and BI Tools.
• Analytical and able to use logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions and approaches to problems.

Salary: $85-90k/A with benefits
