Job Summary:

Seeking for an Associate Business Analyst to join our Business Analytics and Testing Support Team. This role involves documenting business needs, analyzing processes, and translating customer requirements into actionable work for technical teams. The Associate BA will contribute to both Agile and Waterfall Software Development Lifecycle activities, ensuring customer needs are central throughout development and testing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in discussions with stakeholders and technical teams to understand customer processes and business needs.
• Develop foundational knowledge of business applications and data management concepts.
• Assist in identifying root causes of system issues through basic process analysis.
• Create process flows, context diagrams, and data-flow diagrams under the guidance of senior analysts.
• Document requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria accurately and clearly.
• Support the decomposition of requirements into Agile Epics, Features, and User Stories.
• Map user stories to technical design documents, ensuring alignment between business goals and technical specifications.
• Participate in backlog refinement and testing activities, including drafting test objectives and executing tests.
• Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and capture stakeholder feedback.
• Recommend and assist in implementing improvements to BA team processes using Power Apps or Power Automate.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Public Administration, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Internship or academic project experience in business analysis, requirements documentation, process mapping, or solution evaluation.
• 1 to 2 years of experience in business analysis, project support, or related work.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Foundational understanding of Agile and Waterfall SDLC concepts.
• Basic understanding of data analysis and organizational data structures.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Curiosity, initiative, and willingness to learn systems and processes.

Must Have:

• Experience in business analysis, project support, and/or Power Apps/Automate - 1 to 2 Years
• Demonstrated experience with the Federal/State/Government project, including familiarity with policies, procedures, systems - 1 to 2 Years
