Job TitleSoftware Tester/QA Analyst 3
LocationRichmond, VA
Job Summary- Define, manage, and execute the quality assurance strategy to ensure delivery of high-quality, reliable software solutions.
- Lead testing efforts across the software development lifecycle, coordinate QA resources, establish testing standards, and work closely with development, product, and business stakeholders to mitigate risk and ensure system readiness.
- Define and own the overall QA and testing strategy across projects and releases.
- Lead test planning, execution, and reporting for functional, integration, system, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, test scripts, and traceability matrices.
- Coordinate QA activities across internal teams and third-party vendors.
- Ensure alignment between requirements, test coverage, and acceptance criteria.
- Manage defect tracking, prioritization, and resolution in collaboration with development teams.
- Establish QA standards, best practices, and test governance processes.
- Oversee test environments, test data preparation, and release readiness assessments.
- Provide risk‑based testing recommendations and go/no‑go input for releases.
- 5 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.
- 2 years of experience in a QA Lead, Test Lead, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, and/or Waterfall methodologies.
- Hands‑on experience with test management and defect tracking tools.
- Experience in automated testing frameworks and tools.
- Experience leading UAT and working with business stakeholders.
- Experience in healthcare environments.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Clear, concise written and verbal communication.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Detail‑oriented with a strong quality mindset.
- Occasional extended hours during critical testing cycles or releases.
- Participation in release planning and go-live activities.
- Software
Testing and Quality Assurance:
Required, 5 Years. - Experience in a QA Lead, Test Lead, or similar role:
Required, 2 Years. - Understanding of SDLC, Agile, and/or Waterfall methodologies:
