About the Team: Our Program Delivery Office (PDO) team within Associate Experience Technology is looking for a dynamic Senior Director of Technical Program Management (TPM). The Program Delivery Office team drives all intent for Associate Experiences highest priority initiatives as well as for critical techwide programs. In this exciting role, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to execute on key strategic programs.

This is a new organization within Associate Experience Technology which will give you an opportunity to collaborate with smart and passionate leaders to influence results and lead important and exciting projects from day one. In addition to leading technical programs, you will also work to pave the way for an expanding TPM discipline within the team, by leveraging your industry knowledge and experience to teach the organization what a great TPM can achieve.

• Lead technical programs and collaborate with stakeholders to execute on key strategic initiatives
• Pave the way for an expanding TPM discipline within the team and teach the organization what a great TPM can achieve
• Provide technology-focused insights and recommendations to guide decisions with senior leadership
• Demonstrate exceptional communication and collaboration skills
• Drive problem solving, accountability, and delivery of results
• Simplify technically complex topics to enable well-educated decisions across product, engineering, design, and data science
• Expand cross-team collaboration across functions, organizations, and reporting boundaries

• Bachelor's Degree
• At least 9 years of experience managing technical programs

• 9+ years of experience designing and building data-intensive solutions using distributed computing
• 5+ years of experience in building distributed systems & highly available services using cloud computing services / architecture – preferably using AWS
• 5+ years of building & leading an experienced TPM team
• 5+ years of experience building highly scalable mobile products & platforms
• 5+ years of experience with Agile delivery
• 5+ years delivering large and complex programs with ownership of business or technical vision and cross-functional collaboration
• Experience building systems & solutions within a highly regulated environment
• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field (Computer Science, Software Engineering)
• MBA or Master’s Degree in a related technical field or equivalent experience

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Salaries are for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations and refer to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated.

• McLean, VA: $269,600 - $307,700 for Sr. Director, Technical Program Management
• New York, NY: $294,100 - $335,700 for Sr. Director, Technical Program Management
• Richmond, VA: $245,100 - $279,800 for Sr. Director, Technical Program Management

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range of that location. This role may be eligible for performance-based incentives (cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives).
