Business Analyst

Seeking a Senior LIMS Business Analyst for a long-term hybrid contract role with the Commonwealth of Virginia in Richmond, VA.

This role will join a team of analysts who work on multiple LIMS and web portals. The Department is currently implementing a replacement Starlims LIMS(LPH version) for their environmental and clinical users. The candidate will be involved in application discovery/training, requirements gathering, and QA testing. The candidate should have laboratory testing experience and/or experience with LIMS implementation.

Candidate must have experience with the following

· Experience in a laboratory environment or in supporting laboratory systems

· Familiarity with System Development Life Cycle methodologies including Agile and Waterfall methods

· Assisting in STARLIMS configuration validation,test case development, and quality assurance activities

· Creating documentation for business requirements, functional specifications, and solution designs

· Eliciting and documenting business requirements through techniques such as interviews and workshops

· Analyzing laboratory processes and identifying areas for improvement or automation

· Engaging stakeholders to understand their needs,provide updates, and manage expectations

· Analyzing data to provide insights and support decision-making processes

· Developing and executing test plans, test cases, and user stories

· Demonstrated analytical problem solving skills

· Experience with software products including Word, Excel, Visio, and Dev Ops
