We are seeking Workday Engineers who are passionate about developing highly-resilient, fundamentally-sound objects to support the Finance technology driving Capital One. As part of a team that’s leading the next wave of disruption on a whole new scale, you will play an integral part in advancing Capital One’s Finance Technology ecosystem and culture of technical excellence. You will champion automation of functional and technical processes and bring your expertise to drive innovative solutions.
GeneralResponsibilities
- Work with product owners to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios
- Understand and translate the priorities of the business while integrating Finance value proposition and strategies to meet the needs of the business
- Deliver solutions for Capital One's Global Finance organization using capabilities in Workday Financials modules including Core Financials, Expenses, Accounting Center and Prism. Deliver solutions in Workday platform across the Finance modules of General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Expenses, Global Consolidation, Invoices, Payments and Suppliers through efficient and organized processes while maintaining high standards
- Effectively communicate across team, Product Owner, stakeholders and influence solutions across business partners
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, collaborate with Finance partners to provide innovative ideas and insights to redesign business processes that will optimize business results
- Continually research, test and stay up-to-date on Workday Technology & Platform updates, fixes and capabilities
- Build & maintain thorough documentation for system implementation & maintenance
- Primary contact for questions related to how the system works from a business and a technical perspective
- Provide production support for Workday by troubleshooting problems, testing, and working with the business to resolve issues
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
- At least 4 years of Workday platform engineering experience
- At least 2 years of experience designing and developing end-to-end solutions within Workday
- At least 2 years of experience working with APIs within the Workday environment using REST or SOAP
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5+ years of experience working with Workday platform across the Workday Finance modules (General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Expenses, Global Consolidation, Invoices, Payments and Suppliers)
- 3+ years of experience designing and developing integration solutions in Workday
- 3+ years of experience working with APIs within the Workday environment using REST or SOAP
- Workday Pro Certifications (Integration Developer, Financial Reporting)
- 1+ years designing and developing solutions using Workday Extend
