Role DescriptionData / ETL QA Engineer – Lead II – Data Engineering
The Opportunity- Testing & Validation:
Perform functional, regression, and ETL testing for data integration and transformation processes. - Validate data across multiple platforms such as Netezza, Teradata, DB2, and IMS DB.
- Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across systems.
- System Analysis:
Analyze business and system requirements to design effective test strategies and test plans. - Collaborate with developers and business analysts to identify, track, and resolve defects.
- Automation & Tools:
Utilize ETL and testing tools such as IBM Info Sphere Data Stage, Informatica, DVO, and Changeman; support automation of testing processes and deployment validation. - Scripting & Development Support:
Write and execute scripts in UNIX/Linux environments for automation and validation; use programming/scripting languages such as C, C++, Java, PL/SQL, and Shell scripting where required. - Database & Query Testing:
Perform SQL queries and data validation using tools like TOAD and other database platforms; conduct data comparisons and reconciliation across systems. - Reporting & Documentation:
Document test cases, test results, and defects with clear traceability; provide detailed reports on quality metrics, issues, and test outcomes to stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies and best practices.
- Hands‑on experience in ETL testing (Informatica, Data Stage, or similar tools).
- Strong SQL skills for data validation and analysis.
- Experience with UNIX/Linux scripting.
- Familiarity with databases such as Netezza, Teradata, DB2, IMS DB.
- Knowledge of programming/scripting languages (C, C++, Java, PL/SQL, Shell).
- Experience with tools like TOAD, Changeman, and DVO.
- Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; experience working in large‑scale data environments and enterprise systems; strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; exposure to Agile environments and data‑driven projects.

Compensation Range: $92,000–$138,000
Benefits:
Full‑time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro‑rated for new hires), 10 paid holidays, paid bereavement leave, and jury duty. Eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching. Medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as basic life insurance, accidental death and disability insurance, short‑ and long‑term disability benefits, and optional voluntary short‑term disability benefits, HSA, FSA.
Part‑time/temporary employees receive paid sick leave and 401(k) matching. All US employees receive benefits per state laws.
