Salary Range: $65.00 To $80.00 Hourly

The Scrum Master will operate as a Servant Leader and facilitator for 2-3 Agile teams, ensuring the effective implementation of Scrum and Kanban principles. The successful candidate will be a strong negotiator, have excellent logic and problem‑solving skills and a drive to make a difference. We need an individual that puts the team before themselves. They will be responsible for enforcing the rules of Scrum, removing impediments from their team, while promoting self‑management and consistently driving a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as liaison between technical and non‑technical departments.
  • Communicate with other management, developers, product owners and technical support specialists on product issues.
  • Coach the team on best practices (maintaining a healthy backlog, developing high‑quality user stories, estimating and delivery).
Development
  • Organize and facilitate project planning, daily stand‑up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos and other Scrum‑related meetings.
  • Track and communicate team velocity and sprint/release progress.
  • Maintain process documentation.
  • Ensure the team members are practicing the core agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability, and visibility.
Application Support
  • Assist as needed with backlog maintenance and reviewing quality of user stories.
  • Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information.
  • Assist with prioritization and resolution of defects/bugs.
Management
  • Participate proactively in developing and maintaining team working agreement, standards, and tools.
  • Develop and manage team performance metrics, leverage them to drive efficiencies in the process.
  • Identify and remove impediments, prevent distractions.
  • Facilitate discussion and conflict resolution.
  • Empower the team to self‑organize.
Position Requirements
  • Four‑year college diploma or university degree in computer systems design or computer science, and/or 10 years equivalent work experience.
  • Must be a Certified Scrum Master.
  • Scaled Agile (SAFe) experience and certification is a plus.
Knowledge & Experience
  • Scrum Master or Business Analyst experience is preferred.
  • Understanding of agile software development methodologies, values, and procedures.
  • Thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle.
  • Understanding of organization’s development platform and languages.
  • Ability to understand technical issues.

  • Four‑year degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Systems Design, or equivalent combination of education and 10+ years related experience.
  • Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) experience and certification.
  • Scrum Master and/or Business Analyst experience.
  • Understanding of Agile software development methodologies, principles, values, and practices.
  • Thorough understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Knowledge of software development platforms, technologies, and programming languages.
  • Ability to understand and communicate technical issues and solutions.
  • Self‑motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities and assignments simultaneously.
  • Team‑oriented professional capable of working effectively in collaborative environments.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship‑building skills with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience coaching Agile teams and facilitating continuous improvement.
