Senior Business Systems Analyst

Data Concepts is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst with strong documentation skills.

Minimum Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, with a focus on IT development projects.
• A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven track record of successfully analyzing and documenting complex business processes.
• Proven experience in gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements.
• Experience in creating comprehensive and clear documentation.
• Proficiency in modeling techniques, requirements gathering, and documentation.
• Ability to conduct stakeholder interviews and workshops to elicit requirements.
• Experience in translating business requirements into detailed system specifications.
• Ability to create process flow diagrams, data flow diagrams, and other relevant documentation.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to analyze complex business processes and identify areas for improvement.
• Ability to work collaboratively with project managers and development teams.
• Experience in assessing the impact of changes and facilitating change management processes.
• Proficiency in business modeling and analysis tools such as Microsoft Visio, Lucid Chart, or similar.
• Familiarity with collaboration tools and project management software.
• Ability to build and manage relationships with stakeholders.
• Experience in presenting analysis findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.

o Additional Preferred Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, with a focus on IT development projects.
• A master's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• One or more certifications related to business analysis (CBAP, CCBA, etc...).
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.)
• Reverse engineering Legacy COBOL /Visual Basic/ MS Access applications to extract business rules and workflows
• Understanding of quality assurance processes and methodologies.
• Familiarity with project management concepts and practices.
