Systems Engineer
Cyber Advisors (CA), headquartered in Maple Grove, MN, is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to be based in our Richmond office. CA is a steadily growing IT managed services provider (MSP) that specializes in a high‑quality, customer‑focused approach to designing, managing, and maintaining our customers’ IT environment.

This is a full‑time position. Working hours are Monday‑Friday with occasional evenings and weekends. Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Roles & ResponsibilitiesThis full‑time hybrid position is located in the Richmond, VA metro area. Working hours are Monday‑Friday, 8 AM‑5 PM, with occasional evenings and weekends.
- Provide primarily on‑site and remote support to our clients.
- Proactively anticipate, pre‑empt, diagnose, and solve hardware, network, and software problems.
- Perform regular system updates and patch management to safeguard against vulnerabilities.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of customers’ specific business environments.
- Maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Require reliable transportation.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP and networking fundamentals.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows and macOS) and server management.
- Broad knowledge of hypervisor technologies (VMWare/Hyper‑V).
- Broad knowledge of firewalls, switching, and routing.
- Broad knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, DNS, and DHCP.
- Broad knowledge of MS Office 365 administration.
- Broad knowledge of workstation, server, and cloud backup solutions.
- Experience with network security, anti‑virus, and EDR/MDR solutions.
- Dedication to customer satisfaction and getting it right the first time.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to a non‑technical audience.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across a broad and diverse population and environment.
- Proactive identification of process improvement opportunities and adoption of new methods.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate clearly with all levels of the organization.
- Strong technical documentation skills with clear record‑keeping in ticketing and knowledge base systems.
- Appreciation of internal customer business goals, objectives, strategies, and needs.
- Strong multitasking and prioritization skills under aggressive targets and deadlines.
- Passion for great customer service.
- Long‑standing curiosity and love of technology.
- Ability to work with little or no supervision.
- High‑quality, detail‑oriented approach to work.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
- MD‑102, AZ‑104, Forti Net FCP, or similar certifications.
- 5+ years of IT experience (MSP experience preferred).
