Position Overview
Seeking a Desktop Support Technician for its North American Headquarters in Glen Allen, Virginia. This role supports local
and remote users across internal computing environment, ensuring smooth daily operations for employees at every level-from senior leadership to the most
junior staff member. The IT department is highly tenured, collaborative, and known for being a genuinely great group of people.
Key Responsibilities
- Desktop & Laptop Support - Resolve routine and complex issues involving hardware, software, operating systems, and peripherals.
- Equipment Installation - Install, configure, and deploy computers, applications, and user equipment.
- Multi-Channel Support - Assist users via phone, email, in-person support, and remote access tools.
- Peripheral Troubleshooting - Maintain printers, copiers, and basic network connectivity.
- Inventory Management - Maintain accurate hardware records and support lifecycle activities.
- User Training - Provide guidance on systems, applications, and standard support procedures.
- High-Reliability Frontline Support - As one of two front-desk support professionals, reliability and consistent attendance are essential.
Qualifications
- Technical Experience****: 1-3 years supporting computer hardware, software, and operating systems.
- Microsoft 365 Expertise****: Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Office 365, Windows OS, and common peripherals.
- End-User Support****: Experience with software installs, hardware setup, email accounts, and security settings.
- Communication Skills****: Clear written and verbal communication across all levels of the organization.
- Organization & Time Management****: Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Team Collaboration****: Demonstrated success working on project teams and cross-department initiatives.
- Customer-Focused Approach****: Strong analytical skills, sound decision-making, and calm performance under pressure.
- Flexibility****: Ability to work after-hours or on-call as needed.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
