Location:
Richmond, VA (Hybrid)
Duration: 11 Months Interview type:
Both Web Cam and In Person Interview
Note:
- On-site is preferred hiring manager is requesting the candidate be within a three-hour drive (not flight) of the Client office for occasional in case an onsite meeting is required.
- Any parking costs will be incurred by the candidate.
- On-site is preferred but not mandatory.
Job Description:
- This project will replace/modernize core functionality of the Client Incident Management System.
- We are seeking a Sr Business Analyst with a technical background to support software development IT Projects at Client using a mix of Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid Methodologies.
Requirements:
- Perform all tasks related to business analysis, including problem/opportunity identification, elicitation of requirements, and management of stakeholders to meet business and project objectives.
- Analyze and verify requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards.
- Create process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers and/or the project team.
- Develop and conduct peer reviews of the business requirements to ensure that requirement specifications are correctly interpreted.
- Manage and track the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforce and redefine as necessary.
- Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements — verbally or through written documentation — to project managers, sponsors, and other stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood.
- Facilitate collaboration and knowledge transfer between stakeholders and the development team
- Work with other BSAs, Data Analysts, Business Architect, Development, and Data Governance teams to ensure the needs of these partners are incorporated into project requirements.
- Develop user acceptance tests and facilitate their execution and business validation discussions and meetings.
Qualifications:
- Exceptional interpersonal skills for leading, collaborating, and building strong team relationships with diverse teams on large projects
- Extensive experience leading business and IT resources through the discovery and documentation of business and technical requirements
- Ability to lead others to implement new approaches, systems, structures, and methods
- Strong experience in developing, executing, and managing cloud hosted SaaS implementation projects.
- Experience with automated requirements/development management tools
- Ability to analyze and document system processes.
- Strong analytical, organizational, problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the demonstrated ability to simplify and communicate complex issues and technical concepts to multiple audiences.
- Knowledge of both Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid project management practices and when to apply each according to organizational and project needs
- Ability to build & provide meaningful project health information and insights to business & IT Leadership.
- Ability to accurately and effectively represent the project team in multiple forums and to all levels of leadership.
- Ability to exercise and act on independent judgment
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt
- Highly motivated and self-directed
- Skilled in the use of the Microsoft Office Professional Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Visio
Additional
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical background.
- Experience in healthcare projects.
- Experience with Data Modernization & Enterprise Data Warehouse.
- PMP Certification through PMI or Qualified under Commonwealth of Virginia Qualification Standards
- Experience with VITA's Commonwealth Technology Portfolio (CTP) system and ECOS process
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
Required / Desired
Skills:
- Strong experience in developing, executing, and managing cloud hosted SaaS implementation projects.
- Knowledge of both Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid project management practices and when to apply each according to organizational and project needs
- Skilled in the use of the Microsoft Office Professional Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Visio
