As organizations modernize their SAP landscapes, getting master data right is foundational to successful transformation. You’ll sit at the intersection of business strategy and SAP technology – helping clients establish governance, elevate data quality, and execute data migration and MDG programs that support scalable operations and long-term value. This includes designing and applying comprehensive methods, practices, policies, tools, and processes to govern and control the entire lifecycle of data assets, performing maturity assessment, and advising on tools and roadmaps aligned to business objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Develop solutions to complex problems, recommending changes to policies and establishing procedures that affect immediate work areas.
- Exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
- Manage project status and deliverable completion while ensuring effective risk management.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to translate business needs into scalable data solutions, while defining data strategy, quality standards, and governance frameworks across SAP and non‑SAP landscapes.
- Direct cross‑functional teams leveraging SAP data and integration tools (e.g., Data Services, Information Steward, MDG, Datasphere, Data Intelligence, Migration Cockpit; CPI, SLT, APIs) to ensure consistency, integration, and data integrity across work streams.
- Demonstrated expertise in Data Privacy and Master Data Management.
- Strong understanding of Data Governance and Enterprise Strategy.
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage change effectively.
- Excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
- A bachelor’s degree (4-year degree).
- Typically, no less than 4–6 years relevant experience with one or more SAP modules, including full‑cycle implementations within your core area.
- Specialized experience across SAP data disciplines, including Data Migration, Master Data Management (MDG), Data Governance, Data Analytics, data quality programs, Enterprise IT Architecture, and related data management capabilities across SAP landscapes.
- Strong understanding of the SAP S/4
HANA data model, including key simplification impacts, with hands‑on experience supporting data and system migrations from SAP ECC to SAP S/4
HANA environments. - Strong written and verbal communication skills, including client‑facing presentations and technical documentation.
- Proven experience leading SAP data projects or work streams and managing project‑based teams.
- Knowledge of leading practices and prior advisory experience across industry‑specific finance and technology environments.
- A flexibility and willingness to travel to meet client needs; travel is estimated at 40–60%.
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams.
- Certifications in SAP data management tools.
- A strong network within the industry.
- Advanced analytical skills to drive data‑driven decision‑making.
- We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $125,500 to $230,200. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $150,700 to $261,600.
Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.
