• Responsibilities include the optimization and support of complex communication systems.
• Provide technical support of specialized systems and product applications, including troubleshooting of software-driven electronics, provisioning of communication system infrastructure, and performance optimization of RF and broadband architecture (including legacy analog, advanced digital P25, and data infrastructure).
• Maintain, optimize, test, and document complex communications systems. Provide weekly reports of activities and accomplishments.
• Perform maintenance of server hardware/OS and software infrastructure and troubleshoot to resolve system/application issues.
• Conduct preventative maintenance routines to ensure proper system operation with emphasis on trend analysis and documentation of results.
• Develop solutions to difficult technical problems encountered during system maintenance, upgrades, or support issues.
• Engage in continuous training in the latest technologies and troubleshooting techniques.
• Collaborate with engineering, project management, and sales teams to maintain, optimize, and support advanced communication systems that meet or exceed customer expectations.

• Strong knowledge of wired communications systems (LAN/WAN) and proficiency in computer network installation, configuration, and maintenance including cabling, routers, switches, firewalls, and bridges.
• Knowledge of RF systems, including transmitters, receivers, and antenna networks.
• Knowledge of standard telephony and data circuits, and packet switching techniques.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access.
• Strong self-management and interpersonal skills to work with customers, subcontractors, and cross-functional Motorola teams.
• Self-motivated and able to perform duties with limited supervision.
• Ability to resolve customer problems quickly in stressful situations.

• Experience with ASTRO P25 systems.
• Unique combinations of multi-site RF communications systems and/or computer/networking skills are preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in Electronics Technician, System Technologist, System Manager, or Field Service.
• Experience with one or more of the following: LMR, RF systems, RF interfaces, wired/wireless communications, or networking equipment.

Notes:
This position may require work in high-security areas governed by the US Department of Justice CJIS Security Policy and a fingerprint background check.

Target Base Salary Range: $70,000 - $85,000 USD.

Pay transparency:
Compensation varies based on knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the selected candidate.

• High School Diploma/GED or 5+ years of Field Service experience with one or more of the following: LMR, IT, Radio, RF Systems, Wired/Wireless Communication Systems, Networking Equipment, Military or Public Safety experience.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely. Employer sponsorship is not available.
• Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain background clearance as required by US government customers.
