Sr Business Analyst

Seeking a Sr Business Analyst with a technical background to support software development IT Projects using a mix of Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid Methodologies. Job

Duties & Responsibilities:

Perform all tasks related to business analysis, including problem/opportunity identification, elicitation of requirements, and management of stakeholders to meet business and project objectives. Analyze and verify requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards. Create process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers and/or the project team. Develop and conduct peer reviews of the business requirements to ensure that requirement specifications are correctly interpreted.

Manage and track the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforce and redefine as necessary. Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements — verbally or through written documentation — to project managers, sponsors, and other stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood. Facilitate collaboration and knowledge transfer between stakeholders and the development team. Work with other BSAs, Data Analysts, Business Architect, Development, and Data Governance teams to ensure the needs of these partners are incorporated into project requirements.

Develop user acceptance tests and facilitate their execution and business validation discussions and meetings.

Skills & Experience:

Exceptional interpersonal skills for leading, collaborating, and building strong team relationships with diverse teams on large projects. Extensive experience leading business and IT resources through the discovery and documentation of business and technical requirements. Ability to lead others to implement new approaches, systems, structures, and methods. Strong experience in developing, executing, and managing cloud hosted SaaS implementation projects. Experience with automated requirements/development management tools.

Ability to analyze and document system processes. Strong analytical, organizational, problem solving and decision-making skills. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the demonstrated ability to simplify and communicate complex issues and technical concepts to multiple audiences. Knowledge of both Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid project management practices and when to apply each according to organizational and project needs. Ability to build & provide meaningful project health information and insights to business & IT Leadership.

Ability to accurately and effectively represent the project team in multiple forums and to all levels of leadership. Ability to exercise and act on independent judgment. Ability to quickly learn and adapt. Highly motivated and self-directed. Skilled in the use of the Microsoft Office Professional Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Visio.
