Sr Business Systems Analyst

The DMV is looking for candidates for a Business Analyst role focusing on working in DMV work centers to understand and document their process flows. The outcome will be to build requirements for development of work tracking dashboards and offer process improvements to the existing workflows.

Knowledge, Skill, Abilities

• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Experience with Azure Dev Ops, JIRA or similar Agile workflow tools
• Intermediate understanding of SQL and common SQL dialects
• Data analysis
• Process analysis
• Project management
• Detail oriented and self-motivated

Core Responsibilities:

• Partner with business teams to understand and document current workflows and processes, including the creation of process flows and diagrams.
• Ability to review and assess at a conceptual level how business processes translate into data/records creation within source systems
• Translate business unit reporting needs into functional requirements for Data Engineering staff
• Author and update internal and external documentation, and formally initiate and deliver requirements and documentation
• Train business stakeholders on the use of new dashboards and applications developed by Data Engineering team
• Manage multiple assignments, changing priorities, and work independently with little oversight
• Documentation, reporting, presentation, teamwork, and DMV wide collaboration
• Ability to autonomously prioritize and successfully deliver across a portfolio of projects

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
• Three to five years related work experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Excellent written and oral skills, ability to work closely with multiple customers, manage expectations and track engagement scope
