Job Description & How to Apply Below
Agilist II
At Estes, we are working to not only transform the company but the industry at large, and we are seeking an Agilist II who brings proven experience enabling high-performing teams through Agile and Lean practices. This role goes beyond team facilitation to foster organizational agility, mentor other practitioners, and align team delivery with strategic priorities. The ideal candidate exhibits a balance of tactical execution and systems thinking and is a trusted partner to delivery and business stakeholders alike.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate incremental planning and delivery cycles, helping teams deliver meaningful outcomes frequently and predictably.
- Navigate team interdependencies, synchronize deliverables, and foster alignment between delivery teams and stakeholders.
- Support junior Agilists or new team members in Agile ways of working; model leadership through collaboration and candor.
- Help teams visualize and optimize value streams, limit work-in-progress, reduce bottlenecks, and focus on outcome over output.
- Lead data-informed, cross-team or cross-functional improvement sessions that go beyond the surface to address root causes.
- Establish meaningful measures, dashboards, and lightweight processes to ensure visibility and responsiveness.
- Work with teams, Product Owners, and stakeholders to reinforce agility as a mindset—not just a process.
- Act as a change agent, helping teams and stakeholders navigate ambiguity, evolve practices, and respond to shifting priorities.
- Build trusted relationships with business, product, and technical leaders to promote shared understanding and co-ownership of outcomes.
- Share insights, foster knowledge exchange, and participate in shaping Agile maturity across the organization.
- Demonstrate and champion the established "TRUCKS" cultural principles of transparency, responsiveness and resiliency, understanding, continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and simplicity throughout the organization.
- Must be able to travel occasionally as needed.
- Regular attendance is required.
- This is not an all-inclusive list of job requirements and/or duties and may not contain all mental and physical capabilities necessary to perform the job at all times due to circumstances. Operational, safety and other needs may require the employee to perform any and all other duties as assigned. Employees are expected, and must be able to perform all such duties and tasks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
- 2–5 years of experience in Agile delivery roles across diverse teams or products required
- Growth mindset with a solid ability to learn and evolve within the Agile discipline required
- Strong communication skills including listening, verbal, written, facilitation and presentation skills; demonstrated experience summarizing technical efforts and how they align to business outcomes required
- Strong conflict resolution and systems thinking skills
- Thrive in a highly collaborative, fast paced environment
- Strong understanding of the fundamentals of iterative and incremental delivery
- Proven ability to apply Agile management practices and interpret key metrics (such as sprint burndown/burnup charts, velocity, and cycle time) to monitor team performance, identify improvement opportunities, and support the achievement of delivery goals required
- Actively participate in communities of practice and transformation efforts aimed at cultural evolution and sustained agility required
- Strong understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and Agile practices to predict the delivery teams' needs required
- Rapidly adapt and respond to changes in environment and priorities
- Ability to communicate in both technical and user-friendly language
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and facilitation skills
- Demonstrated ability to bridge business and technology perspectives, ensuring alignment between stakeholder needs and technical delivery required
- Proficient in Jira or other Project Management tools highly preferred
- PMP, Scrum or other Agile certifications preferred
- Must be able to comply with all company policies, rules, procedures and Code of Conduct
