Insight Global is seeking a People Soft Techno-Functional Consultant with deep expertise in Fixed Assets to support a large-scale ERP initiative for the Commonwealth of Virginia. Following a major People Soft upgrade, the team is launching a new implementation of Fixed Assets and Lease Accounting, with a projected go-live in early 2028. This is a high-impact, long-term role where you’ll serve as the People Soft Fixed Assets Subject Matter Expert (SME) – playing a key role in both implementation and ongoing production support.
The hourly pay rate is $65-75/hr and based on experience.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the functional lead/SME for Fixed Assets (Asset Management module)
- Identify functional gaps, customization requirements, integration needs, etc.
- Contribute across the full SDLC (design, build, test, deploy)
- Lead requirements gathering with business stakeholders
- Document current (as-is) and future (to-be) processes
- Support development of reports, interfaces, conversions, and enhancements
- Validate system changes through regression and system testing
- Maintain and update business documentation, job aids and training materials (as needed)
- Communicate status updates on tasks, issues, and tickets
- 10+ years of People Soft experience
- Deep expertise/subject matter expertise in Fixed Assets
- Experience in General Ledger (GL) & Accounts Payable (AP)
- Ability to read SQL & People Code
- Well-versed in the standard system development life cycle, including design, development and testing of system objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversion programs, Extensions/Modifications)
- Business analyst experience – requirements gathering, creating test scripts from scratch, UAT, gap analysis, etc.
- Strong understanding of Asset lifecycle, system configurations, business processes, integrations, and reporting
- People Soft Lease Administration experience
