The Security Analystworkswithclinical ,operational,informationtechnology,privacy,compliance,andapplicationsupportteamstoensureusershaveappropriateaccesstoEHRapplicationsbasedontheirjobresponsibilitiesandorganizationalpolicies.
TheEHRSecurity Support Analystprovidestechnicalandfunctionalsecuritysupportforthe Cerner Electronic Health Record environment .Thisroleisresponsibleformaintainingappropriateuseraccess,supportingsecurityconfiguration,monitoring access-related activities,troubleshootingsecurityissues,andassistingwiththeimplementationandsustainmentofEHRsecuritycontrols.
TheEHRsecurity Support Analystisresponsibleformanagingandhelpdefineuseraccesspolicies ,securitypoliciesandrole-basedpermissionswithintheEHR.ThisrolewillworkcloselywiththeEHRApplicationteam,ISOTeamandHIPAAcomplianceofficeramongotherstoensurethattheapplicationiscompliancewithHIPAAstandards,organizationalsecuritypoliciesandbestpractices.
Key Responsibilities- MapandmaintainingEHRpositionsdefinitions,which includes,Millenium Positions,PreferencesandOHPACSecuritygroupswithVDHPositions.
- ReviewsandprocessesEHRaccessrequestsinaccordancewithestablishedpolicies,procedures,organizational standards,androle-basedaccessrequirements.
MonitorandenforceappropriateuseofEHRAccess Control Position sand Policies ,ensuringthatusershavethecorrectlevelofaccessbasedontheirrolesandtheirjobfunctions.
WorkwithEHRSecurity
Officer,ITTechnicalteam,Support
TeamandEHRCoreteamtohelpdefineandautomateuserprovisioningandoffboardingprocedures.
WorkwithEHRSecurity
Officertodevelopandmaintainsecuritypolicies,procedureandguidelinesrelatedtothe
Application.
WorkwithEHRSecurity
OfficerandISOOfficeandEHRCoreteamtodefineandcompletesecuritydocumentationanddowntimeproceduresaccordingwithVDHSecurityguidelines.
WorkwithEHRSecurity
OfficertorespondandinvestigatesecurityincidentsrelatedtoEHRApplicationensuringtimelyresolutionandproperreportingtostakeholders.
CollaboratewiththeEHRimplementationandoptimizationteamstoensurethatsecuritymeasuresareintegratedintothedeploymentofnewfeatures,updates,andthird-party applications.
Stayinformedaboutemergingsecuritythreats,technologies,andbestpracticesrelatedtoEHRsystems.
RecommendimprovementsandoptimizationstotheEHRsecurityenvironmentbasedonindustrytrendsandemergingthreats.
WorkwithEHRSecurity
OfficerandEHRCoreteamtoassistoninternalandexternalaudits.
Participate in Cerner/OHPACupgrades,securitypatchesandsystemmaintenancetoensureongoingsecurity.
Participateinthe Domain Strategy for EHRApplication.
Stayuptodatewithsecurityupdates,bestpracticesandregulatorychanges.

Experience with Active Directory (AD),single sign-on(SSO),multi-factor authentication(MFA),andidentitymanagementsolutions.
