Commercial Litigation Attorney

A law firm seeks an experienced Commercial Litigation Attorney to join its Richmond, VA office. The ideal candidate will possess sharp analytical skills, sound judgment, and a practical approach to resolving complex business disputes. This role requires confidence in the courtroom, the ability to manage client relationships, and motivation to grow within a professional and collaborative environment.

• Represent business clients in state and federal courts across Virginia and the Mid-Atlantic region.
• Handle all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation.
• Provide strategic counsel to clients on dispute avoidance, risk management, and litigation strategy.
• Collaborate with attorneys across multiple practice areas to deliver comprehensive client service.
• Participate in business development and client relationship initiatives.

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active Virginia Bar membership or eligibility for prompt admission.
• 10 or more years of experience in commercial litigation or related civil litigation practice.
• Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• A practical, client-centered approach to problem‑solving and litigation strategy.
