Job Overview
Supply Specialist – Petersburg, Virginia (Fort Lee) – Non‑Exempt, Full‑time, Day Shift, Compensation: $36.29/hr.

- Procure and purchase supplies and services; process supply requests, create purchase orders, and coordinate with vendors for timely delivery.
- Manage inventory; monitor stock levels, conduct cycle counts, maintain accurate records using Maximo, GCSS‑Army, and Workday.
- Document and report transactions, receipts, and property transfers; generate reports for audits and leadership review.
- Perform property accountability; track government and company‑owned property and ensure compliance with Army regulations and internal policies.
- Oversee warehouse operations: receive, store, issue supplies and equipment; maintain organized and secure storage areas; support tool and equipment management.
- Assist with internal and external audits; reconcile discrepancies; ensure documentation meets regulatory standards.
- Operate supply chain software platforms to input data, scan documents, and manage workflow efficiently.
- Provide customer service and coordination; communicate with internal teams and external partners to resolve supply issues and support operational needs.
- Basic knowledge of storage and inventory control procedures.
- Ability to receive, store, issue, ship, turn‑in, and inspect materials and stock.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, and Maximo.
- Familiarity with GCSS‑Army, DCMA PCARS, E‑Tools, and government purchasing preferred.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record‑keeping.
- Effective communication and problem‑solving skills with suppliers and internal teams.
- Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Work in various weather conditions (rain, cold, heat).
- Possibly work in high places such as scaffolding, ladders, man baskets, or cherry pickers.
- Perform repetitive motions, reach, kneel, walk, stand for several hours; climb in/out of vehicle and stairs.
- Work effectively under pressure for extended periods.
- Maintain installation security clearance and a Common Access Card (CAC).
- Real‑ driver’s license, U.S. passport, or military (Real‑ compliance).
- OSHA Forklift Operator Certification required or obtain within 90 days.
