Control the Flow:Dock Controller & Warehouse Support
Are you a highly organized, detail‑oriented individual who excels at managing crucial logistics processes? We're looking for a proactive Dock Controller to be the nerve center of our Shipping and Receiving operations! This hybrid role is your opportunity to combine vital administrative, communication, and hands‑on material handling skills to ensure every shipment is accurate, on time, and fully compliant.
- Pay Range: $20 per hour
- Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 3:30pm
- Be the Gatekeeper:
Serve as the primary point of contact for all incoming and outgoing drivers in the Welcome Center, accurately signing them in and out and meticulously verifying all associated paperwork. - Manage Paperwork & Systems:
Process Bills of Lading and all associated shipping/receiving documents. You'll reconcile inbounds with packing slips and ensure all documentation is error‑free. - Inventory Control:
Maintain crucial door accuracy and yard reports for trailer inventory. Coordinate all drop‑lot activity and manage the onsite box truck. - Handle Materials:
Operate material handling equipment, including a forklift and electric pallet jack, to support efficient dock operations. - Customer Service:
Provide exceptional customer service to both internal colleagues and external drivers/carriers. - Schedule & Coordinate:
Maintain and communicate accurate inbound and outbound schedules, working closely with shift management to hit all daily goals.
- Experience:
At least six (6) months of related warehouse or distribution experience. Previous Shipping & Receiving experience is a plus! - Skills:
Strong attention to detail, effective problem‑solving, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment. - Proficiency: PC experience with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
- Hands‑On Ability:
The ability to operate material handling equipment, including a forklift and electric pallet jack. - Communication:
Strong interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, with the willingness to learn new systems quickly.
