Sourcing Specialist - Richmond, VA

Job Description

We are looking for a Supply Chain Management team member to serve as an IT Sourcing Specialist in our Clearinghouse location in downtown Richmond. This role is open to veterans, military spouses, wounded warriors and caregivers, as well as other eligible candidates. The position is on‑site and requires military rank eligibility and a combination of education and experience as outlined below.

• Conduct major spend analysis by supplier, commodity, or service.
• Identify potential suppliers and develop and issue requests for proposal with complex pricing tables.
• Analyze supplier proposals, perform legal and insurance reviews, and conduct net present value analysis.
• Negotiate prices, delivery, insurance, performance, penalties, issue resolution, escalation, terms and conditions, and intellectual property agreements.
• Obtain cost improvements for purchased materials and services through negotiation and continuous management.
• Develop and administer measurement tools on a contract basis.
• Perform trend analysis and identify and implement process improvements.
• Analyze all cost and process aspects of assigned spend.
• Lead cross‑functional sourcing initiatives, including the development and implementation of complex sourcing strategies.

Minimum Education: High School or GED.

Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred disciplines include Business Administration, Engineering, and Supply Chain Management.

Experience: Demonstrated experience in supply chain sourcing, spend analysis, and contract negotiation.

Salary range: $65,500 – $85,000 (expected hiring base salary). Actual salary may vary based on qualifications and location.

Richmond, Virginia.

Remote flexibility:
Hybrid 3‑2 schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking).

Travel:
Up to 25%.
