Position OverviewReliance One, Inc. is seeking an experienced Material Planner to support end-to-end inventory planning and supply chain operations for a global manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring material availability, optimizing inventory levels, and collaborating with purchasing, production, and customer service teams to support manufacturing schedules. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in material planning, inventory management, and SAP
, along with excellent analytical skills and experience working in fast-paced manufacturing environments.
- Manage end-to-end inventory planning from purchase requisition through customer invoicing.
- Support internal customer service inquiries related to inventory and material availability.
- Establish and maintain inventory parameters, including safety stock, reorder points, lot sizes, lead times, and replenishment strategies.
- Define inventory policies based on product segmentation.
- Analyze potential material shortages and coordinate with Purchasing to resolve supply issues.
- Troubleshoot planning exceptions and adjust SAP planning parameters when necessary.
- Create and maintain purchase orders to ensure materials are available to support production schedules.
- Collaborate with buyers to improve supplier performance related to on-time delivery, quality, lead times, flexibility, and minimum order quantities.
- Utilize SAP and reporting tools to monitor inventory performance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory management and supply chain efficiency.
- Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in:
- Material Planning
- Production Planning
- Supply Chain Management
- Inventory Management
- Strong experience with SAP MM/PP (required).
- Experience managing inventory planning and replenishment strategies.
- Advanced analytical skills with Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of inventory control and material flow within manufacturing operations.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI and Power Query.
- Experience with inventory optimization and forecasting.
- Knowledge of supplier performance management.
- Experience supporting high-volume manufacturing environments.
