Location
Richmond, VA
Shift2nd – 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm
Salary$75,000 – $85,000 annually
Qualifications- 3–5 years of experience in logistics, warehouse, or supply chain operations
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience with Lean principles, team leadership, and quality control/assurance
- Strong ERP (SAP highly preferred) or manufacturing software experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word)
- Ability to analyze operational data and performance metrics
- Experience troubleshooting mechanical or electrical issues, interpreting schematics, and resolving operational problems
- Capable of prioritizing multiple issues and making sound decisions based on operational impact
- Basic math proficiency, including rates, ratios, percentages, and interpreting bar graphs
- Supervise, coach, and lead logistics team members, including shipping, receiving, and warehouse staff
- Assign work, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with standard operating procedures
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to ensure accurate and on-time deliveries
- Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and proper system transactions
- Collaborate cross-functionally with production, procurement, and customer service teams to align material availability with schedules and customer demand
- Optimize warehouse layout, material flow, and storage methods to improve efficiency and reduce handling time
- Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies, inventory variances, and logistical issues
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, and freight costs; implement corrective actions and improvements
- Coordinate with carriers, vendors, and third‑party logistics providers to ensure cost‑effective and reliable transportation
- Support implementation and continuous improvement of logistics processes and systems
