Parts Manager- Richmond, VA About Sweetie Boy Transportation
We're a fast-growing vehicle logistics and trucking company based in Richmond, VA. Our fleet stays busy, and we need a hands-on Parts Manager to keep our shop stocked, organized, and efficient. If you've got experience in parts and inventory management - and know your way around diesel equipment, we want to talk to you.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee day-to-day parts room operations
- Track, manage, and reorder inventory accurately and efficiently
- Source parts for heavy-duty diesel vehicles and trailers
- Work closely with mechanics to identify parts needs and priorities
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate pricing
- Maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready parts room
- Lead a small team and support shop workflow
- Knowledge of diesel/mechanical systems and heavy truck parts (Peterbilt specifically)
- Previous experience in parts or inventory management
- Comfortable using computers/inventory systems (Fleetio, ADP, Carmac)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Valid Driver's License w/ clean record.
- Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs throughout the day
- Experience managing people or leading a small team
- Customer service mindset - must work well with vendors, techs, and internal teams
- Fork lift certification
- Competitive pay based on experience, $25.00-$35.00 per hour.
- Monday
- Friday Schedule. 8:00am - 4:30pm. Weekends as needed. - Health, dental, and vision insurance
