McKesson Medical‑Surgical is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Analyst to support sourcing and supplier management initiatives across our private label and national brand portfolio. In this role, you will leverage data analytics, market intelligence, and supplier insights to help drive cost savings, strengthen supply continuity, and support business growth.

This position offers the opportunity to partner with cross‑functional stakeholders across Product Management, Finance, Supply Chain, Quality, and Regulatory teams while contributing to strategic sourcing decisions within a dynamic healthcare supply chain environment.

What You’ll Do Support Strategic Sourcing Initiatives
  • Support sourcing projects, supplier selection activities, and competitive sourcing events, including RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs.
  • Analyze supplier proposals and develop cost comparisons to inform sourcing decisions.
  • Conduct total cost of ownership (TCO) analyses and pricing evaluations.
  • Assist with supplier negotiations through benchmarking, data analysis, and opportunity identification.
  • Support development and execution of category and sourcing strategies.
Deliver Spend & Business Analytics
  • Perform spend, pricing, margin, and profitability analyses.
  • Identify cost savings and productivity opportunities using data‑driven insights.
  • Monitor supplier cost drivers, commodity trends, and market conditions.
  • Maintain sourcing dashboards, KPIs, and reporting tools.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and business planning processes.
Support Supplier Performance Management
  • Track supplier scorecards, operational performance metrics, and sourcing documentation.
  • Monitor supplier capacity, lead times, inventory trends, and risk indicators.
  • Participate in supplier business reviews and follow‑up activities.
  • Maintain supplier‑related data and reporting accuracy.
Collaborate Across the Business
  • Partner with Product Management on supplier selection and new product initiatives.
  • Support supply continuity and risk mitigation efforts, including dual‑source strategies.
  • Coordinate with Quality and Regulatory teams on supplier qualification activities.
  • Work cross‑functionally to improve sourcing outcomes and supplier performance.
Drive Process Improvements
  • Create and maintain reports using analytics and business intelligence tools.
  • Support sourcing process enhancements and automation initiatives.
  • Help ensure data integrity across procurement and sourcing systems.
  • Utilize data and technology to improve sourcing effectiveness and decision‑making.
Basic Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Typically requires 2+ years of professional experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, purchasing, finance, operations, or a related analytical function.
  • Experience performing data analysis and developing business insights using large datasets.
  • Understanding of spend analysis, supplier performance metrics, and cost modeling methodologies.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience creating reports, dashboards, or analytical presentations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
