Work Schedule

7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday with occasional weekends.

Sensitive & Essential Position

This is a Sensitive Position and an Essential Position. Employees may be required to report to work in the event of a college/campus closure due to weather or other emergent conditions. This is a restricted funded position.

Responsibilities

Provides a full range of custodial/housekeeping services for college facilities, including, but not limited to, trash removal, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, sweeping, floor stripping and waxing, carpet cleaning, window cleaning, black/whiteboard cleaning, etc. Provides room set‑up/take‑down assistance and as assigned. Performs other cleaning tasks as assigned. Maintains and demonstrates good attendance habits.

Special Assignments

May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

Required Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of the principles and practices of janitorial, custodial, and housekeeping services, and sanitizing techniques.
  • Knowledge of custodial operations and industry standards.
  • Ability to climb ladders without assistance.
  • Ability to lift objects not more than 50 lbs.
  • Experience in a janitorial, custodial, or housekeeping program/environment.
Additional Considerations
  • Experience with in a multi‑building housekeeping operation, preferred.
