Operations Manager
Overview
The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing construction projects from inception to completion. This role involves coordinating with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders and is accountable for project planning, execution, and delivery.
Responsibilities- Project Planning:
Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, resources, and scopes of work. Coordinate pre-construction activities such as permitting, scheduling, and procurement. - Team Coordination:
Lead and manage project teams, including field supervisors, subcontractors, and vendors. Assign tasks, set goals, and monitor progress to ensure project milestones are met. - Client Communication:
Serve as the main liaison between the client and construction teams. Provide regular updates, address concerns, and ensure client expectations are met or exceeded. - Budget Management:
Track project costs, approve expenditures, and implement cost-saving measures. Prepare and present financial reports to stakeholders. - Quality Control:
Ensure all work meets or exceeds industry standards and project specifications. Conduct regular site inspections and address any issues that arise. - Risk Management:
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. - Documentation:
Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, schedules, and daily reports. - Project Closeout:
Oversee final project inspections, ensure punch list items are completed, and facilitate project handover to the client.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil, Mechanical, Structural Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry, preferably with a general contractor. Strong knowledge of treatment plant and/or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
