Fahrenheit Advisors is pleased to partner with Kenmore Envelope Company in the search for a Plant Manager to lead operations at its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Richmond, Virginia.
Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the Plant Manager plays a critical leadership role in driving operational excellence. This position is responsible for planning, directing, and optimizing production and operational activities to support company objectives related to profitability, growth, efficiency, quality, and ethical standards.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities- Develop, implement, and execute operational and production strategies aligned with company goals
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance team environment across operations and cross-functional departments
- Lead, train, and motivate all direct reports to achieve individual and organizational success
- Evaluate employee performance and manage development, accountability, and corrective actions as needed
- Oversee and control operational expenditures to support efficient, cost-effective plant operations.
- Establish, monitor, and continuously improve quality control standards and processes
- Define and maintain key performance metrics to measure operational effectiveness
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety requirements, environmental standards, legal regulations, and overall duty of care
- Oversee proper maintenance and timely repair of all production equipment
- Maintain a safe, organized, and clean production environment
- Plan and implement process improvements, workflow enhancements, and efficiency upgrades
- Stay current on industry trends, new equipment, and emerging procedures to identify opportunities for operational advancement
- Manufacturing leadership experience strongly preferred; direct mail industry experience and an electrical background are a plus.
- Solid working knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards
- Proven ability to manage multiple large-scale projects and meet demanding timelines in a manufacturing environment
