The City of Richmond Department of Parks Recreation and Community Facilities is seeking a highly qualified and energetic candidate to fill the position of Facility and Program Supervisor, Senior. The position will report to the Recreation Program Supervisor who oversees multiple community center locations. This position involves the daily operations of a recreation facility including supervising staff, leading programs, and day to day operations.
Responsibilities- Oversight of a large, multi-generational community center space and other duties listed below.
- Oversee and train facility staff on building operations, customer service and other training as needed.
- Supervise staff, conduct performance evaluations, coordinate training, implement hiring, discipline, and termination procedures, and track attendance.
- Coordinate the daily facility schedule, including working with the permits division to schedule partner programs and external rentals.
- Communicate and collaborate with community partners to expand facility offerings.
- Develop and update facility policies and procedures.
- Coordinate and schedule special event logistics such as meetings and training programs.
- Oversee registration and payments for programs, process receipts and revenues; maintain financial data and prepare reports.
- Oversee facility supplies and inventory and make purchases as needed.
- Ensure program information displayed online is accurate and up to date.
- Monitor operations in the facility to ensure safety and compliance with policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Associate's Degree in parks and recreation or business administration is preferred.
- Three years of recreation program experience.
- An equivalent combination of training and experience (as approved by the department) may be used to meet the minimum qualifications.

- General office equipment (e.g., computers, copiers, printers, calculators), athletic equipment, credit card/electronic check machine equipment, and Richmond Alarm Security Camera equipment.
- General office software such as Microsoft Office Suite, Vermont Systems Recreation Software, Rec Trac 10.3, and Oracle Rapids.
