The Senior Project Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the success of our projects. Their primary responsibility encompasses a spectrum of critical tasks, ranging from nurturing customer relationships to adeptly managing contracts and job costs, all while meticulously planning and forecasting project trajectories. Furthermore, they champion the growth and development of Project Managers (PMs) and Project Engineers (PEs), shaping a robust team capable of meeting and exceeding our project goals.

Responsibilities
  • Establish and adjust work sequences to meet construction schedules
  • Study/develop schedules and estimate worker‑hour requirements for completion of job
  • Serve as Business Manager for Colonial Webb on construction projects
  • Work with Supply Chain Manager to procure materials, equipment and subcontracts
  • Manage and oversee submittals, operations and maintenance documents and closeout process
  • Negotiate change orders with customers and manage change order process
  • Review/author RFIs and review responses to determine scope of impact
  • Provide information project team to promote design, fabrication and ensure project execution
  • Interpret project specifications and make decisions relating to equipment, materials and subcontractors
  • Assist project Superintendents with daily operations and supervise Assistant Project Managers/Project Managers/Project Engineers
  • Ensure that regular and timely project meetings are occurring as needed for successful job completion
  • Responsible for owning project forecasts for revenue, cost‑to‑complete and expected gross profit
  • Assume primary responsibility for redemption of equipment, material, and subcontractor estimates; assume secondary responsibility for labor and other costs
Qualifications
  • Minimum of five years of commercial/industrial project management experience
  • Experience of hands‑on management of projects with a scope of work exceeding $10m
  • Ability to manage continuous flow of material and labor for large projects lasting a year or more
  • Electrical trade knowledge
  • OSHA 30‑hour certification and knowledge of OSHA safety regulations
  • Ability to diplomatically and effectively with internal and external customers
  • Ability to demonstrate foresight and problem‑solving skills to make decisions based on information at hand
