As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the administrative and technical management of a construction project. In addition to functioning as the point person who steers a project forward, a Project Manager leads a team to ensure a quality project is completed within time, budget, and scope constraints. In this position, you will practice skills in planning, organization, staffing, etc.
Experience and Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree and at least five (5) years of related experience in engineering, architecture, construction management, or a related discipline. Experience in multi-family construction preferred.
- Ability to obtain a security clearance to access and work on a US military installation when necessary.
- The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, can manage multiple priorities, and has strong management and communication skills.
- Demonstrate the ability to lead and motivate a team and possess a minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience.
- Strong MS Excel experience, including the use of formulas and pivot tables.
- Must be comfortable learning and using technology such as the sector-specific software Pro Core, Primavera P6, or Blue Beam, and possess a high level of experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
- Must be able to work weekends as needed.
- Must be able to travel locally to project sites as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift 35 pounds.
- Must be able to safely navigate a construction project site including walking on uneven surfaces, climbing stairs, and climbing ladders.
