The Senior Project Manager (SPM) for EMC Mechanical is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of complex mechanical projects including HVAC, plumbing, piping, and other mechanical systems. The SPM is the key driver of project success, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
This role requires leadership skills, extensive technical knowledge, and the ability to manage teams, clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders effectively.

Project planning & Coordination
- Lead the development of comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resources for mechanical construction projects.
- Coordinate with internal teams, clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to align on project goals and deliverables.
- Review and approve project schedules, procurement plans, and construction documents.
- Manage project startup, ensuring all resources (staff, equipment, materials) are allocated appropriately and project scope is well understood.
- Oversee day-to-day management of the project ensuring adherence to the timeline, budget, and quality standards.
- Coordinate and monitor mechanical system installations (HVAC, plumbing, piping, etc.) and ensure compliance with project specifications and local building codes.
- Resolve technical issues, address project challenges, and implement solutions in a timely manner.
- Track and report on project progress, adjusting as necessary to ensure the project stays on course.
- Develop, manage, and control the project budget, ensuring that costs are tracked and that project financial goals are met.
- Review and approve purchase orders, invoices, and change orders, ensuring accuracy and alignment with contract terms.
- Identify and manage project risks to avoid cost overruns and delays.
- Prepare and submit regular financial reports to management, detailing project status and financial performance.
- Lead and mentor a team of Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and field personnel, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- Manage internal resources and external subcontractors to ensure timely and quality execution of the project.
- Conduct regular site meetings, safety meetings, and project reviews to track progress, communicate updates, and address issues.
- Provide performance feedback and professional development opportunities for team members.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction through consistent communication and the successful delivery of projects.
