Responsibilities- Lead and direct manufacturing teams.
- Utilize SQDC (Safety-Quality-Delivery-Cost) and Lean principles.
- Conduct daily huddle meetings focused on area performance.
- Interpret and ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
- Recommend and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
- Analyze and resolve work problems using PDCA.
- Perform activities of workers in the group as a backup.
- Prepare and execute daily start‑up plans.
- Update, implement, and maintain a cross‑functional training matrix.
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineering to assure on‑time delivery to customers or other departments through Kaizen processes.
- Conduct continuous level load scheduling.
- Coordinate material scheduling and kitting to avoid shortages.
- Maintain 6S and operator PM checklists.
- Implement and sustain standard work procedures, visual boards, and controls.
- Maintain efficiency levels of 90 % or better.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Over 3 years of related experience.
- Basic computer experience with MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook, and basic AS400 or similar system knowledge.
- 2 years of manufacturing experience.
- AS400 experience.
- Ability to lift, pull or push 50 lbs up to 50 % of the shift.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend or twist for prolonged periods up to 10 hrs/day as needed.
- Repetitive motions on the machine up to 40 % of the shift.
